Message Well its been a long time coming but I think this morning I finally killed my car, but im not really wanting to let it go that easy so ive come to pick your brains.

Ill start out by saying the car is a 93 and has more than 230k miles and has lived a very hard life, so its no surprise if its toast. As of yesterday driving home from work, the car ran great. As a matter of fact since i fixed my idle issue this past fall the car has been running extremely reliably for some time. Well this morning I go out to start the car to warm it up and I notice a sound I have never heard before, but it didnt really sound like a knock because it was very random like a chipmunk running for his life from my engine fan. I was thinking the fan hitting something like the fan shroud, but it was too random and too far between for that. I know i should have popped the hood but it was like 10 degrees this morning and F-that. So I drive off and everything is running smoothly and engine comes up to temp and levels off, oil pressure is good. I get about 5 miles from home and all of a sudden i hear/feel what i think like like a extremely bad misfire, almost like what it feels like when you drop an injector but quicker, at this time im only at about maybe 2k rpm because im moving slowly. Then the car jerks and i immediately pull off to a shoulder and it dies. When i go to try to start it, the starter just whines but isnt cranking the engine. I tried to roll and pop start it and it was a no go also. It didnt seem to stop me when i let out the clutch leading me to believe the engine isnt technically seized, but obviously something isnt right. Also there was no fluid pouring out of the bottom of the car so i didnt punch through the pan with anything.

I know this is pretty incomplete information since i have not been able to look at the car but I was hoping that people would maybe shoot me a couple ideas other than my thought that I grenaded the engine. Thank you for anything you can offer up.
